9.5"X11.75"X1.75" Hand Made End Grain Hard Maple Cutting Block

This is an end grain cutting block comprised of Hard Maple components measuring 9.5" X 11.75" X 1.75" thick. The board is made from Indiana sourced hardwoods and is hand made in Danville, Indiana. The ample thickness and weight of the board means it will not slide around the countertop when in use and will last many years with regular care.

End grain blocks are self healing meaning that a knife will separate the fibers which will then close without leaving a knife mark. The 1.75" thickness gives a sturdy board that will last generationally and can be easily refinished without effecting the integrity of the board if you like after many years of use. 

The hardwood cutting blocks are treated with food grade mineral oil and then coated with two coats of food grade bees wax to protect the cutting block. We recommend using mineral oil to periodically treat the board and after cleaning with soap to preserve the board. 

Natural wood cutting boards do not have micro-plastics that are harmful to your health and contain Tannins which are natural compounds found in hard wood cutting boards that can inhibit bacteria growth and have antibacterial properties.
